Assessment of a New Training Model for the Reduction of Non-Contact ACL Injuries in Female Athletes

Targeting female athletes who particpate in pivoting sports, a newly designed preventative training program was implemented at the University of South Alabama during pre-season and in-season conditioning. Pre-season and post-season comparative testing indicated that training had a significantly positive effect on the risk of Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.
