Assessing Student Higher-Order Thought in the U.S. Air Force Academy Scholars Program

In an attempt to assess student capacity for and development of higher-order thought, the U.S. Air Force Academy Scholars Program currently uses the California Critical Thinking Skills Test and the Reasoning about Current Issues assessment instruments, both of which are administered to students before program entry and after program completion.
