Law school has traditionally been a promising path for many honors students, but recent challenges – a decline in attorney incomes, skyrocketing student debt, questioning of the need for a third year of law school – have caused applications to plummet by as much as 30%. Yet a JD can also prove invaluable for careers in public service and social justice, as well as the law.
